Alan, the recoil on my Captian Kid is working, but seemingly not quite at full strength; and it sticks every 3rd shot or so, then slowly lets go. This causes the next shot fired to be weak, or not fire at all. I took the solenoid off the shaft and sure enough there's a ton of old sticky graphite all over everything.

I cleaned it all off with rubbing alcohol and now she works like a charm! Strong recoil and no sticking! So that's it, don't put any type of lube on there? Just leave it?

Thanks for your help

Yes sir.......a perfect repair!!! No lube at all...perfectly clean is exactly what you want.

Isn't the rifle recoil just an awesome feature? Adds another degree of 'unique-ness' to the game!...
